IMMERSIVE NARRATIVE
The projects below represent work made in collaboration with other artists and creators, each of which has a focus on immersive narrative.
AR, VR and Immersive storytelling
COLOSSE
One of our earliest projects, 'COLOSSE' is a real-time VR storytelling experience, with a stylized, character-focused visual narrative. The viewer's gaze - the things they pay most attention to - will direct the experience around them, giving them a subtle control over events as they unfold. We've set out to create a visually powerful, art-driven style, that will immerse the viewer in a highly stylized environment.
The project was conceived by Producer Joseph Chen as a way to bring the powerful 2D art style of Kevin Dart into a VR experience. ‘Colosse’ was entered into the Oculus Mobile VRJam, where it won 'Gold' in the Experience catagory.

COYOTE AND CROW
A Narrative VR based on the legend of ‘Coyote and Crow’.
The project uses real ink elements, building up characters and locations out of natural medium. This creates a unique and stark look, which is especially effective in VR. Layered ‘fur’ elements are built on the protagonists cloak, as well as the wolves, giving them depth.
The story would follow the protagonist (seen left in a mask) on a journey, beset by nature and the elements of winter.

COLOSSE AR
This project is envisioned as a companion story to the original, with the same settings, but told through a different medium. Locations would appear as miniature islands that the user would place on a table or other surface, allowing them to view the story from any angle.
The adventure would follow a girl, a hunter, seeking out her brother who has become lost. On her way she would encounter monsters, villains and dangers.
The user would be able to interact with the world, whistling to cause the wind to blow, or causing rocks to come loose to enable the protagonist to continue.
